These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of MesNote (“the app”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
MesNote is a note-taking application. It lets you create and manage notes on your device, including text and optional attachments such as images, audio, and video. Optional features may include cloud sync, reminders, account sign-in, and in-app purchases, as offered in the version you use.
The app is provided “as available”. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable (for example through app updates or in-app messaging).
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you use the app on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Notify us at the contact email below if you believe your account has been compromised.
Sign-in may be offered via email and password and/or Google (Sign in with Google). Third-party sign-in is also subject to that provider’s terms and privacy notices.
Optional cloud sync may require an account. You may delete content or your account through the app where such options are provided, subject to technical and legal retention limits described in our Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of content you create in MesNote. To operate the service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit, and display your content only as needed to run the app and optional cloud features you enable (for example sync, backups, and reminders).
You confirm that you have all rights necessary to upload or sync your content and that doing so does not violate third-party rights or applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or pose a risk to the service or other users.
If the app offers paid plans or add-ons, purchases are processed by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). Pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the respective store’s terms and policies. We do not store your full payment card details.
Cloud storage limits and feature availability may depend on your plan. If you exceed limits, sync or uploads may be restricted until you free space or upgrade, as shown in the app.
The app offers optional AI commands you invoke explicitly with a slash command in the note composer (for example /summarize, /todos, /ask, /rewrite, /translate). When you run a command, the messages of the current note are sent to Google Gemini through our cloud function and the model’s reply is added to the note as an "AI" bubble that you control.
You acknowledge and agree that:
The app relies on third parties (for example Google Firebase, Google Cloud, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Google Play, the Apple App Store, the Google Gemini API, and diagnostic providers such as Sentry). Their terms and privacy notices apply to their processing. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
MesNote, its branding, and the software (excluding your content) are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or code except the limited right to use the app as intended.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for your own backups where important.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app.
Our total liability for claims arising from the app in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app or subscriptions in that period through Google Play or the Apple App Store, or (b) fifty euros (€50), except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory law (for example certain consumer rights).
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with an updated date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where stricter notice is required by law.
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for operational or legal reasons. Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator of MesNote is established, excluding conflict-of-law rules that would apply another law. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence may still apply where they cannot be waived.
If you operate as a legal entity, replace the preceding paragraph with your chosen governing law and courts after taking legal advice.
